This week we are featuring Florence Barrera, a jewelry designer and owner of Southtown boutique @bohemian_gemme 👏🏻👏🏻 Florence’s story is a perfect mix of passion, dedication, style and community. She started designing jewelry three years ago as a creative outlet and posted her work on Instagram. Since then, her vision has taken off, prompting her to open a new storefront adding some of her own clothing designs and a curated collection of unique pieces. With the help of her father, her husband and three sons, she turned a small forgotten corner on S St. Mary’s in King William into a chic feminine oasis 😍 We asked her to share advice for other women wanting to turn their passions in to a career to which she said, “Some days you feel stressed and unmotivated, but you can not give up. Focus on your dream.” Every day she would tell herself, “It is possible, I just have to make it happen,” and she did! Lastly, she shared the importance of connecting with other women in your industry, “find your people, share your ideas, and lift each other up.” 🙌🏼🙌🏼💕
