SEPTEMBER NEWS FROM CENTRO SAN ANTONIO
Centro San Antonio would like to thank Mayor Nirenberg, District 1 Councilman Roberto Treviño, and the entire City Council for renewing the PID Plan for 2018. Our ambassadors are looking forward to our Tricentennial year when we will continue to make Downtown a clean, fun, and friendly place.
Special thanks to the Downtown stakeholders who spoke in support of the renewal: Cathy Siegel, David Adelman, Brian Dillard, Ron Brown, Valerie Salas, and The Cortez Family. Downtown is everyone’s neighborhood!
Tom Frost, Sr.
Also, at this year’s Centropolitan Awards, we will honor Tom Frost Sr., Jim Haynes, and David Straus with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Lifetime Achievement Highlight: Tom Frost Sr. was President and later Chairman of the Board of Frost Bank from 1962-1997. His work Downtown is credited with saving Hemisfair ’68. He also oversaw the construction of the Frost Bank Tower in 1971, an iconic piece of the Downtown skyline. For more information, contact Liz Burt, Centro San Antonio, 210-225-3862
